our little nursery

Hello and happy October! I’m SO excited to finally be able to share some snapshots of our nursery with you! It’s been quite the journey to get our former guest / storage room to this point, but I’m so happy with the way everything turned out. We can’t wait to bring baby girl home to it in just around two weeks!

Pretty much as soon as we found out we were pregnant I started daydreaming about this little one’s room (a welcome distraction from all the morning sickness!). The first thing I knew I wanted to include were the baby animal portraits I had seen on Etsy that now live over her crib. Knowing those would serve as a kind of anchor for the room, everything else came together pretty easily.

In keeping with the woodland animal theme, I fell absolutely in love with the Dakota Woodland Crib Sheets we found at Pottery Barn Kids. We were able to pull all the colors for the rest of the room from them and shockingly, Richard and I didn’t have too much trouble settling on the green we chose for the walls. (The grey for our living room - totally different story - we must have painted on 15+ different samples before picking the final shade). For the nursery we went with Benjamin Moore Fresh Dew and made it 10% lighter. We’re pretty sure lightening it by only 10% was basically imperceptible, probably would have been better off with at least 25%, but after the living room debacle we didn’t want to fall back into the sampling rabbit hole.

We already had the carpet and fortunately it worked pretty well with the crib and other furniture we chose. The dresser is from Ikea, we just swapped in the gold knobs which I found on Amazon. The side table, ladder bookshelf and glider / recliner are also from Amazon (bless Prime shipping and our UPS driver who is now practically a part of the family!). We originally got an AMAZING deal on a gorgeous glider from the Pottery Barn Kids outlet only to discover it didn’t fit up our stairs… #rowhouseproblems. The blackout curtains are from Ikea and the lamps are from Target and Ikea. Are you sensing the Amazon / Ikea theme haha? We found the wool felt bunny mobile at Restoration Hardware of all places (they actually have a TON of cute nursery products!). The changing basket is from Noble Carriage and the storage bin on the dresser is by Pehr Designs.

I’ve shared a bunch more pics below if you’d like to take a look! As I mentioned over on instagram, somewhere along the line the woodland animal theme became very baby bunny heavy, but I don’t mind one bit :)

Thanks so much for following along! Let me know if you have questions about anything in the comments below!

xoxoxo,
