Well folks, it's official: May is my favorite flower month. I know I said that about April but then... the peonies happened :)
Last year we had a really weird stretch of warm weather in February which, while lovely at the time, made most of the local peonies bloom early and then freeze. Super sad for the local farmers and designers! However, luckily that wasn't the case this year so the peonies are popping along with so many other beautiful flowers!! I've pulled a few of my favorite arrangements from this month below. I'm so excited for all that summer has in store but I do wish all these May flowers would stick around for another month (or two... or three)!
Flowers used in these arrangements include: bachelor buttons, calla lilies, peonies, icelandic poppies, ranunculus, delphinium, campanula, baptisia, scented geranium, tulips, lisianthus, solomon's seal, kale, snapdragons, lilac, anemones, pennycress, hyacinth, sweet peas, bleeding hearts, veronica, allium, sweet william, and abellia.
